Education and Support Series
Gilda’s Club Twin Cities – Tuesdays, April 3, 10, 17 & 24, 5 – 7:30 p.m.
This program serves families with children (ages 5-18) who are facing a parental cancer diagnosis. In a fun and nurturing environment, families learn how to communicate about cancer, gain understanding about the impact of the disease and meet others sharing a similar, life changing experience. This series meets for 4-weeks; families must commit to the full series. Dinner is provided.
Mind | Body | Wellness
Gloria Dei Lutheran Church – Saturday, February 24, 10:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
For families who have a parent with cancer, this day-long wellness retreat allow everyone the opportunity to explore and experience a variety of integrative therapies. Lunch provided.
Caregiver Support Group
Common Roots Cafe – Thursday, March 1, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Are you a parent whose partner has cancer? Presented in partnership with Jack’s Caregiver Coalition, this program is designed for people currently serving as both a parent and caregiver in the household. This gathering is casual – nothing preconceived, no agenda – just time to share. Beverages and appetizers provided.
Family Open Art Studio

Come explore, as a family, and express yourself with art materials.
Kid’s Night In/Parent’s Night Out
Angel Foundation Office – Tuesday March 13, 5 – 6:30 p.m. and/or Thursday, May 10, 5 – 6:30 p.m.
This program gives parents some kid-free time to share a meal with other parents facing cancer in the home. Drop off the kids (5-18) at the Angel office: we’ll feed and entertain them AND treat parents to dinner at a nearby restaurant. This program fills quickly: register soon!
Whirly Ball Twin Cities – Thursday, February 15, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Come play basketball, hockey, lacrosse and drive bumper cars all at once!
Teen Arts Expression Series
Studio 2 Ceramics – Thursdays, March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 and April 5, 6 – 8 p.m.
In partnership with local pottery shop, Studio 2 Ceramics, our annual Teen Arts Expression Series exposes teens to the process of throwing pottery! Teens learn a variety of techniques, on and off the wheel, and along with making their own pieces, are encouraged to assist in creating a large group project. Finished solo and group work are displayed at an art show in May (date TBD). Snacks provided.
