Education and Support Series
Abbot Northwestern Hospital – Thursday(s), October 5, 12, 19 and 26, 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Education and Support Series is a multi-week series for families facing cancer, specifically during new diagnosis. This evidence-based program, for families with children ages 5-18, provides age-appropriate information to children, teens and parents. Dinner provided.

Parenting Through Cancer
Gilda’s Club – Wednesday, November 8, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Join us for an abbreviated version of our Education and Support Series! This condensed curriculum guides families with children through the ins and outs of cancer. Light snacks are provided.

Mind | Body | Wellness

Family Open Arts Studio
Adler Graduate School – Saturday, September 30, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Come explore and play as a family! Using a variety of art materials, families use this time to express themselves and process their emotions!

Caregiver Support Group
Common Roots Cafe – Thursday, September 21, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Presented in partnership with Jack’s Caregiver Coalition, this program is designed for people serving in a caregiver capacity to someone who has cancer. Beverages and appetizers provided.

Family Support Group – Living with Advanced Cancer
Brighter Days Grief Center – Monday, November 13, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.

This support group is specifically for families who are experiencing the daily challenges of living with advanced cancer.

Social Gatherings

Making Memories
Angel Foundation Office – Monday, September 18, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.

This program allows you individual time with a professional photographer to capture beautiful moments with your family. Light snacks provided.

Cupcake Wars
Angel Foundation Office – Monday, October 23, 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.

Cherry on Top Confections demonstrates the magic of creating delicious sweet treats. Get ready for flour on your apron: this is a hands-on experience!
