Spring Education and Support Series
HealthEast – St. John’s Hospital – Mondays, April 3, 10, 17, and 24, 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.
A four-week series providing evidence-based education and support for the entire family: children, teens, young adults (K-26), parents and caregivers. Peer based and age appropriate groups focus on therapeutic themes to promote communication. Young adults (19-26) with a parent with cancer also welcome. Dinner provided.
Mark Rivard Arts, Skateboards & Sharpies
Northrup King Building | Studio 385 – Thursdays, March 9, 16, 23, and 30, 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Do you want your artwork to jump out at your friends? Skateboard artist Mark Rivard will share his inspirational story of reaching for his dreams when he was ready to bail. You will be stoked to harness your inner creativity during a four-week program to teach teens (13-18) how to design and create an original full-size wooden seven-ply, maple skateboard. The teens will coordinate and display final art at an art exhibition.
