Volunteer Opportunities

Angel Foundation volunteers have the opportunity to work directly with our Facing Cancer Together (FCT) families throughout the year, including:

  • Camp Angel Volunteers
  • Hang out and support Teen Outreach activities:
    • Rock Climbing
    • Expressive Arts Projects
    • Cooking Classes
    • Social and Educational outings

Our volunteers work in a hands-on capacity, which greatly contributes to our community.

For the safety of our families (and to ensure proper placement for volunteers) the selection process for FCT volunteers is less inclusive. Additionally, because of the nature of the services Angel Foundation provides, Facing Cancer Together volunteers may be asked to participate in training above and beyond the initial orientation. If you are interested in volunteering for any one of our FCT programs, please indicate that on your volunteer application.

We are always looking to partner with medical professionals who work within the following specialties:

If you are a current or retired professional with skills related to our mission, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Heidi at hjohnson@mnangel.org.

Angel Foundation hosts a number of fundraising events throughout the year and our volunteers play an integral role in the success of those events. Whatever your capacity, we have a place for you!

Our event committees work alongside Angel Foundation staff in the planning and execution of our major fundraising events. There are many options to choose from: if decorating is your thing, you might be interested in sitting on the d├ęcor committee for the Angel Gala. Have an interest in procuring in-kind donations for a silent auction? Angel & Eagles might be the perfect fit!

Pre-Event/Event Day Volunteering

For as many people as there are working behind the scenes in preparation for our events, there are three times as many actually executing the plan. From laying table cloths and hauling boxes, to greeting guests and assisting with fundraising games, volunteers work with Angel staff to make sure the event is executed according to plan.

Angel Foundation employs a small staff who often need help with bulk mailings, filing, data entry, etc. If you have flexibility with your day time hours and are interested in working in our office, we have a task for you!

There are several times throughout the course of the year when Angel Foundation needs to stock up on commonly used program-related items. These projects, such as assembling AngelPacks and creating Greeting Cards, can easily accommodate large groups.

Contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Heidi, for more information on any of these volunteer opportunities at hjohnson@mnangel.org.
