Angel’s Attic Gigantic Annual Sale Set for Oct. 12-16 in Plymouth
Angel’s Attic, formed by volunteers in 2010 to benefit Angel Foundation, will present its annual sale Oct. 12-16, filling the former Four Seasons Mall in Plymouth with new and gently used items from estate sales and retailers. Sale hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
Because the store space, merchandise and help are donated, more than 90 percent of proceeds go directly to Angel Foundation, which provides emergency financial assistance, education and support to local adults with cancer and their families.
With the assistance of more than 100 volunteers, this annual sale has generated $300,000 for Angel Foundation. In 2012, nearly 6,500 shoppers came to the sale.
Angel’s Attic features thousands of items filling more than 90,000 square feet in the Four Seasons Mall. More than 20 departments are represented, including antiques, art, housewares, furniture, electronics, décor from around the world, designer clothing and accessories, sporting goods and more.
Angel’s Attic founders Kay Melemed and Judy Kauffman, organizers of the World’s Largest Garage Sale for the American Cancer Society for more than 30 years, had a desire to continue using their expertise for a good cause and created Angel’s Attic in 2010 to benefit Angel Foundation.
Since 2001, Angel Foundation has provided nearly $4 million in emergency financial assistance to adults with cancer and their families and has helped more than 18,000 people through its programs. The organization awards grants to adults in active treatment for cancer in the seven-county area of the Twin Cities.
On opening day of Angel’s Attic, admission is $3. The remaining days, admission is free. On the final day, Wednesday, all merchandise is half price. The sale is located at 4108 Lancaster Lane North, Plymouth, at the intersection of Highway 169 and Rockford Road. For more information, contact angelsattic2013@live.com.
