Angels and Divas: High Style for a Great Cause
On Thursday, October 8th, we hosted the first annual “Angels and Divas” event at the St. Paul Hotel, offering an evening of food, fashion, and fundraising. We would like to thank everyone for coming out to this eventwhich was a huge success, with more than 200 ladies attending to raise almost $10,000. It was a “girls’ night out” filled with fabulous fashions, excellent food and amazing entertainment.
We started the night with a hot runway show where beautiful models displayed the latest fall and winter trends. These fashions came from hip Twin Cities stores like Hot Mama, La Rue Marche, Zelaz, and fashions by Crissy Kochendorfer.
We were honored to have David Wagner, founder/owner of JUUT salons, author of “The Day Maker” and recent cancer survivor speak to us about how cancer has changed his life. He was available after his presentation to sign his book and donated all of the evening’s book sales to Angel Foundation.
We ended the night with Elizabeth Hermanson singing the song “Fight like a Girl”. She has an amazing voice and left us feeling heart warmed yet powerful. Throughout the night we had drawings for fabulous raffle prizes. All of the stores participating in the show donated a $100 gift card. JUUT Salon donated a $250 gift card and La Belle Vie donated a $130 gift card. Thanks to The Little Wine Shoppe, The Wine Thief and Trader Joes for their generous donations as well. And special thanks to Crissy Kochendorfer who was instrumental in the creation and planning of this event. We look forward to another successful girls’ night out for Angel Foundation next year. Watch for our “Save the Date” notice soon!
