Winter Retreat: Saturday, Feb. 28, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, St. Paul. A fun and relaxing day for kids (ages 5-18) and adults. While parents meet, children and teens join their peers in a variety of activities to promote self care. Lunch will be included. Education, support, art, yoga and more. Family Paint Party: Monday, March 9, 5:30 – 8 p.m. Simply Jane Studio, Minneapolis. In this two-hour class, families create a painted canvas, inspired by the style of contemporary artist Jim Dine. Education and Support Series: Mondays, March 16, 23, 30 and April 13, 20, 27, 6 – 8 p.m. AngelFoundation, Minneapolis. This program is designed to provide families the information and support they need in order to face the challenges of cancer together. While parents meet, children and teens join age-specific groups. The following events are offered free of charge for teens 13-18 years old who have a parent with cancer:

Teen Cooking Class with Open Arms: Friday, April 10, 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. Open Arms, Minneapolis. Teens learn to prepare an easy and healthy meal with the staff at Open Arms, then eat what they make! Contact Dan at dmundt@mnangel.org or (612) 627-9000.
