Ray Henderson: Making a Difference Every Month
After 39 years as an elementary school teacher and a principal, Ray Henderson learned the value of budgeting, which is one reason he writes monthly checks to Angel Foundation.
“I was an administrator long enough to know that when you budget, you like to see monthly income so you know what’s in an account to cover expenses,” he says. “It is a more solid base of funding instead of sporadic donations.”
Ray’s wife, June, died of cancer several years ago. Since then, he has written monthly checks to Angel Foundation.
“June always worried about money,” he says, “and that should not have been on her mind. Now, I want to help others that might be in the same boat. June would want me to do this.”
To make a difference monthly in the lives of adults with cancer and their families, join Ray as a charter member in Angel Foundation’s new Circle of Angels.
