Award-winning musician and songwriter Tim Mahoney will headline a happy hour concert Monday, June 23, 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Solera, Minneapolis. The cocktails and concert event, called Angel After Hours, is a fundraiser for Angel Foundation.

Mahoney, who was featured on the first season of NBC’s hit reality show The Voice, is a Minnesota favorite, having performed for 15 years and selling more than 100,000 units of his various releases. His popularity was confirmed in January when he was voted by listeners of MyTalk 107.1 as “Mr. Manuary.”

“It’s going to be a great night, a way to have fun and raise much-needed money for those with cancer in our community,” says Mark Wilkening, Angel Foundation president. “We are very excited about this inaugural event. We’re pleased that Tim Mahoney has agreed to join us in this happy hour fundraiser.”

Since 2001, Angel Foundation has distributed more than $4 million in emergency financial assistance to adult cancer patients for non-medical necessities like housing, food, transportation and utilities. The organization also offers education and support programs to families facing a parental cancer. Since founding, Angel Foundation has helped more than 20,000 people through its programs.

The June 23 event begins with cocktail reception at 4:30 p.m., followed by concert beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25 and include appetizers and admission. To register, go to https://give.mnangel.org/angel-afterhours-2014 or call (612) 627-9000.
